Cape Town - The SPAR Cape Town Ramadaan and Lifestyle Expo, as a key driver of local skills and businesses, is being recognised for its positive contribution to the Mother City’s economy.
Cape Town mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis voiced his support for the three-day expo, noting that these kinds of events are a partnership between businesses and patrons.
“The events industry – our small food sellers, our home cooks, our performers, creative artists – they have had such a tough two years,” he said.
“So it’s just wonderful to see these events coming back, and I hope that they are well supported by the public.”
While the expo is a key platform for businesses, the public can also look forward to competitions and celebrity cook-off challenges. Where else will you see Mel Jones, Yaaseen Barnes, Carl Weber and Eddy Cassar showing off their cooking skills?
Just attending the SPAR Cape Town Ramadaan and Lifestyle Expo could put patrons in line to win a trip to Turkey.

And the winner of the SPAR MasterChef contest will amp up their kitchen game with a set of MasterChef knives valued at over R5 000.
The expo offers something for all members of the family, so if you prefer to eat the food rather than cook it, the Bedouin-themed food court will be a delight for all senses.
With more than 120 local designers, cooks and entrepreneurs participating in the expo, you, and your wallet, may need a little break. Head to the food court where the best of Cape Town’s local talent will entertain and delight.
The SPAR Cape Town Ramadaan and Lifestyle Expo takes place from March 25 to 27 at the Green Point Track. Entry is R30. Children under 12 enter for free.
