A Cape Town family is searching for their 26-year-old daughter who disappeared nearly two weeks ago and is believed to have been seen with a Nigerian national suspected of involvement in drug trafficking in the vicinity of the Fish Hoek taxi rank.
The family of Megan Anderson has utilised the services of various missing persons organisations nationally, including that of security expert, Mike Bolhuis and the National Crime Assist (NCA), a voluntary non-profit organisation.
According to Anderson’s uncle, Kenneth Anderson who lives in the UK, who reached out to the Cape Argus, the young woman was last seen leaving her grandmother’s residence in Ranger Road in Fish Hoek just after 3:30pm on December 28.
Her mother, Michelle Anderson, said she was worried and had approached the NCA’s missing persons unit to help find her daughter.
“I am exhausted emotionally due to worrying about where my daughter is and I am appealing to anyone who has information that can assist in finding her to contact the relevant authorities.”
Sally Steyn from the NCA said they created a timeline leading to Anderson’s disappearance and used CCTV footage.
Anderson was escorted to her grandmother’s home in Fish Hoek and had left on December 28, 2024, stating she had to meet someone but did not return.
All known locations Megan frequented, including residences, workplaces, and acquaintances, have been checked without success said Steyn.
Bolhuis said information received suggested that she might be in the vicinity of the Cape Town City Centre.
Anderson is approximately 1.6 metres tall and weighs 48 kilograms and has blond hair and green/blue eyes.
