China Construction Bank Corporation has again displayed its ongoing support of the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, with Cape Town office staff members of the Bank recently visiting the highly dedicated senior leadership and nursing personnel of the eminent medical institution.

With a handover of supplementary goodies, toys and toiletries to the Hospital’s staff, it is expected that these items will assist in improving the care of the young patients of the hospital. In addition, this support will also assist the families of the patients who most often come from impoverished communities in the region.

Continuing the hospital’s specialist paediatric care, training and services since 1956, the hospital is widely recognised as the country’s leading centre for postgraduate paediatric medical and surgical training, attracting undergraduates and post-graduate students from around the world to enhance their training within its wards and clinics.

In responding to the support offered for 2024, Chantel Cooper, CEO of The Children’s Hospital Trust conveyed her appreciation to Meiwei Luo, CEO of China Construction Bank Corporation Johannesburg Branch and shared that the ongoing assistance “has made a tangible difference to vulnerable children and their families.”
