I refer to the article: “Intercape slams Mbalula’s ‘failure’” (Cape Times, November 15).

The article makes mention of the “failure” of Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula to address the ongoing attacks on long distance buses.

The Makhanda High Court has ordered the minister to produce a workable plan to address these ongoing bus attacks.

How can it be that the minister is allowed to appeal against the court’s decision? Surely it is his duty to address “life-threatening” situations on public roads.

If not, who is? How can someone appeal against a court order that is only trying to compel him to do what he is employed to do – and be well-paid, at that?

The real problem is that no one in the ANC is accountable or responsible for their actions or lack thereof anymore.

The state is run by a bunch of clowns with their snouts in the feeding trough!
