Johannesburg - Suzuki Auto South Africa is planning a mass gathering this Sunday, where owners of its cars and motorcycles will form a giant Suzuki ‘S’ logo as part of a campaign to raise funds for animal welfare.

The charity event will require more than 1700 cars and bikes, and with an entry fee of R100 per vehicle, Suzuki hopes to raise a generous donation for Friends Of Rescued Animals (FORA) and Community-Led Animal Welfare (CLAW).

Only Suzuki vehicles will be allowed to take part in the logo formation, but anyone is welcome to support and attend the day. In addition to the unique attempt, the event will offer a beer garden, country market, live music and a children’s playground.

The charity drive will run from 10am until 3pm on Sunday at The Wedge Outdoor Park, on Beyers Naudé Drive in Muldersdrift between the well-known Casalinga Restaurant and Oakfield Farm.

Sponsors supporting the event include Terracam UAVs, GreenSolution by Pandae, MapAfrika and SOS ProTec.
