Keke Palmer has seemingly scrapped off her “Baby, this is Keke Palmer" podcast episode with actor Jonathan Majors after facing backlash from fans.

Palmer, once dubbed as the “Internet’s favourite cousin”, has experienced a dramatic shift in public perception.

She has a flourishing career in the entertainment industry, spanning acting, hosting, and entrepreneurship, and has garnered global recognition for her undeniable talent and influence.

This year alone, she experienced a streak of wins, including starring in the critically acclaimed movie “One of Them Days”, alongside R&B singer SZA. She was also recognised as the Entertainer of the Year at the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP).

Her “Baby, this is Keke Palmer” podcast has gained popularity for its candid and insightful conversations with musicians, actors and overall creatives.

However, the 31-year-old American actress’s decision to interview actor Jonathan Majors sparked intense backlash. She previously announced Majors as a guest on her podcast, which had fans up in arms due to his reputation.

Majors, known for his roles in “Creed III” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”, has faced allegations of misdemeanor assault and harassment against his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, which led to a conviction in April 2024.

He was sentenced to probation and a 52-week domestic violence intervention program.

The announcement was followed by intense backlash from fans on social media, with old videos and photos surfacing online, showing Palmer in the studio with convicted R&B sensation R. Kelly, who is currently serving time for serious crimes such as producing child pornography and enticing a minor to engage in sexual activities.

Many accused Palmer of being insensitive to survivors of abuse and questioned her judgment in choosing Majors as a guest.

Since then, the episode which was set to air on Tuesday, was replaced with a new one featuring rapper Kash Doll.

Palmer's team has not issued an official statement regarding the cancellation, but the replacement episode with Kash Doll ended speculation about whether the controversial interview would air.
