South African R&B singer and songwriter Kaylow, whose real name is Kelello Segoana, has been hospitalised after a car accident.

Kaylow’s management confirmed in a statement on his Instagram page on thanking fans for their support.

“Kaylow, our beloved brother, is on the mend after a recent car accident. We're grateful for the outpouring of love and support from his fans during this time.

“He's surrounded by loved ones and making progress. We'll share updates on his recovery as he continues to heal. Thank you for your continued support,” said the management.

Born in Soweto, Kaylow rose to fame with his smooth vocals and heartfelt lyrics, making a name for himself in the South African music scene. He made his first recordings in 2009, gaining recognition with Darque’s “Difference” in London.

His own tracks like the 2014 hit "The Soul Café" from his debut album “Reach Out,” which deals with themes of love and sensual grace, was well-received, earning him a strong following.

Kaylow's single track "24 Hours," which came out in 2021, has also helped to establish his presence in the music industry.

In 2017, following the release of his second album “War for Love”, Kaylow was named Best Male Vocalist at South Africa's inaugural Dance Music Awards.
