After five drama-filled seasons, Garcelle Beauvais has decided to hang up her diamonds and bid adieu to "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" (RHOBH).
The ever-glowing 58-year-old actress and former model took to Instagram to share the news, stating, "It’s been a wild ride, some amazing things have happened and some hard things have also happened but it’s been a ride nevertheless."
From the get-go, she captivated audiences with her unfiltered honesty and sassy one-liners.
Who could forget the time she confronted a fellow housewife with a sassy, "Honey, I'm Garcelle Beauvais, I don't have to do anything!"
Her fearless approach to calling out questionable behaviour and her loyalty to her friends quickly made her a fan favourite.
Beauvais joined RHOBH in Season 10, bringing a fresh dose of elegance, sass and honesty that had fans instantly hooked.
As the first Black housewife on the show, she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, whether it was calling out double standards, standing firm in heated debates or casually dropping the fact that she once made out with Johnny Depp (yes, really, and we’re still processing that tea).
But as they say, all good things must come to an end.
In her farewell video, Beauvais revealed her reasons for departing the reality hit, citing a desire to focus on her family and upcoming projects.
"One of the reasons why I’m leaving is my family, my boys. Their last year of high school is next year and I want to be a part of that," she shared.
"And secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing and acting in. I can’t tell you anything now but you’ll know soon."
Beauvais son, Jaid Thomas Nilon, is already making a name for himself in the fashion world. At just 16, he made his runway debut at Sutton Stracke's Green Label Fashion Show. A proud Beauvais beamed from the audience, cheering on her rising star.
The actress-turned-reality TV star previously shared that she doesn’t want to be a “momager” to her son, although she hopes to share a little sage wisdom as someone who also had a modelling career as a teenager.
Speaking of Stracke, fans have adored the dynamic duo's friendship on the show. Their genuine bond, filled with laughter, support and the occasional playful jab, has been a refreshing highlight amid the series' typical drama.
With Beauvais's departure, one can't help but wonder how Stracke will navigate the Beverly Hills social scene without her bestie by her side.
Before signing off, Beauvais expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the RHOBH team, including executive producer Andy Cohen, Bravo, NBC Universal, the production companies and her fellow housewives.
She also left the door slightly ajar for a possible return, teasing, "Andy Cohen says I can come back anytime, the door will always be open, so you never know, I might pop back in sometime."
To the fans, she offered a sincere thank you: "You guys have cheered me on, supported me and sometimes even fought for me or on my behalf. It means a lot and I hope you guys will continue on this journey with me."
"It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later," she concluded.
