Grimes has “begged” Elon Musk to keep their three children off the internet after he brought their 4-year-old son to a media briefing at the White House last month.
“I have tried begging the public and my kids dad to keep them offline, and I’ve tried legal recourse,” the Canadian-born singer wrote via X on Thursday.

“I’ve seen young ppl destroyed by the internet … The state of my children’s lives being public is of grave concern to me and I think about how to solve this every day.”
“It’s insane to me that there's no way to deal with this,” Grimes, 36, continued.
“I would hope there was some law that would allow a parent to veto small children from living public lives but I don’t even trust the law to help me now if I tried to invoke it tbh.”
The musician shares three kids with the Tesla CEO: X Æ A-XII, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus, 1.
Grimes previously spoke out about her children’s privacy in February when she condemned Musk, 53, for bringing their son X Æ A-XII to a White House press conference with President Trump.
The tech billionaire carried X Æ A-XII on his shoulders as Trump signed an executive order to benefit the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which Musk oversees.
Grimes claimed she was not aware of her son’s attendance until a fan flagged the photos to her on X (formerly Twitter).
“He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me,” she wrote at the time.
That same month, Grimes also accused Musk of ignoring a “medical crisis” for one of their kids.
Grimes and Musk, who dated from 2018 to 2022, have previously been embroiled in legal issues.
They filed respective lawsuits against each other in October 2023 over the parental rights of their three kids.
