Former Minister of Social Development Bathabile Dlamini, like most women in their 60s, is aging and has a few wrinkle lines.

However, Dlamini isn’t letting the ageing process happen naturally; she is taking steps to smooth out her wrinkles and maintain her skin, looking how she wants it to look.

A video of Dlamini at a medical aesthetics clinic getting wrinkle relaxing injections is making the rounds on social media, piquing the interest of many.

According to the clinic, the anti-aging treatment offers a non-invasive solution to smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

“These injections work by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles responsible for creating expression lines, resulting in a more youthful and refreshed appearance,” read the caption.

Dlamini isn’t the only Mzansi public figure on the medical aesthetics clinic's social media pages; actresses Rami Chuene and Zenande Mfenyana are also featured.

The pursuit of eternal youth is no longer just a Hollywood thing; it's a growing global trend, and South Africa is no exception. From subtle Botox injections to full-blown facelifts, an increasing number of people are turning to cosmetic procedures to enhance their appearances.

Actress Khanyi Mbau recently made waves following her first South African appearance since undergoing a subnasal lip lift and blepharoplasty in August last year.

A blepharoplasty is the removal of excess eyelid skin (upper or lower, or both). A subnasal lip lift procedure is a small surgical procedure that removes excess upper lip skin that elongates as we age.

Mbau lives in Dubai, and it has been a while since she was in the country, so her recent visit set trends ablaze with many commenting on the debut of her new face.

“The Real Housewives of Durban” cast member Jojo Robinson also has openly flaunted her facelift journey. Robinson admitted to her social media followers that the initial days post-surgery had her second-guessing everything.

In an interview with Carol Ofori on an episode of “The Carol Ofori Podcast”, Robinson revealed that she has had over 20 things done.
