BMW's first promotional video for the 2012 3 Series shows it being tested in Death Valley - reputed to be the hottest place on earth. It's noticeably larger than the current Three, with exterior styling clearly inspired by the current 5 Series, while the cabin layout has more than a look of the new X3. Petrol engine options are expected to include a range of turbocharged fours to join the current turbo-six as well as a seriously hot hybrid model. The Blue Propeller Boffins have promised a world debut later this year.
