BMW boss Norbert Reithofer has confirmed that the X4 crossover has been green-lighted for production.
He wouldn't give ant more details, but Auto Motor und Sport says it'll be about 4.65 metres long and will share engines and running gear with the X3 in much the same way as the X6 does with the X5.
Expect to see a world launch in 2014.
