Johannesburg - Minister of Police Fikile Mbalula has denied reports that President Jacob Zuma has summoned cabinet ministers to a meeting at his home in Cape Town.
eNCA reports that the Minster in the Presidency, Jeff Radebe, cancelled an appearance at the Mining Idaba to attend the meeting.
Mbalula tweeted on Tuesday morning; "It is not true that we have been summoned to a meeting , @eNCA the much talked about meeting is the joints that started at 8h30.I personally did NOT attend I tendered an apology #Fakenews"

Zuma's summons comes a day before the ANC National Executive Committee (NEC) is expected to meet on Wednesday to discuss Zuma's future as the head of State.

At the weekend the ANC's top six met with Zuma to convince him to resign.
The State of Nation Address takes place on Thursday and speculation is rife that Zuma may not address the meeting.
The EFF has also threatened to approach the courts on the matter.
