Security guards deployed to save vandalised Musgrave restaurant from vagrants

Security guards have finally been deployed to protect the former La Bella restaurant in Musgrave from further vandalism, after vagrants stripped its interior since 2023. Local councillor Remona Mckenzie has pursued this issue relentlessly, as residents and activists raised serious concerns about safety and the deteriorating conditions affecting the upscale neighbourhood. eThekwini Municipality has now advertised the property for redevelopment under a 30-year lease.
