and ethics standards.
2. South Africa
has maintained its number one ranking for the strength of auditing and
reporting standards for six years in a row according to the World Economic
Forum’s Global Competitiveness report.
3. The IRBA issued its first
public Inspections report in 2015.
4. The IRBA launched the
Auditing Development Programme, a new way of qualifying registered auditors in
2015.

approval of the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) for the
Registered Auditor (RA) designation.
