JOHANNESBURG - Property entrepreneur Sisa Ngebulana, has been named as one of Africa’s top business leaders by international magazine, CEO.
Ngebulana has created a multi-billion rand development company and listed the only black-owned property fund in South Africa, she hands over the reins of the property fund he started in 2010, Rebosis, whose assets he grew six-fold from R3,6-billion to R21-billion.
Andile Mazwai, a former chief executive officer (CEO) of the investment group Barnard Jacobs Mellet, is now Rebosis CEO. However, Ngebulana remains non-executive deputy chairman at the property fund. The CEO awards team opened up the voting process in July this year and spent months looking for Africa’s top businessmen and women to honour in their special Africa Awards edition, which features Ngebulana on the cover.
Spokesperson for the magazine said, “The Africa Awards edition is dedicated to recognising strong and innovative leadership amongst business leaders operating in Africa, across all key business sectors and industries.

In a statement, CEO on Thursday announced that its research department had spent 'the past several months carefully researching and identifying some of the most hard-working, ambitious and forward-thinking CEOs in Africa today.'
The special edition profiled senior businessmen and women in 13 countries who have been instrumental in achieving their companies’ desired aims and driving their business forward.
