Complete contents of chic CBD hotel due for hammer

Bidway Auction House will sell the complete contents of the upmarket four-star boutique hotel, Urban Chic, on February 20 at 11am at the hotel at 172 Long Street in the Cape Town CBD.

Following instructions from the owners of the hotel, Bidway will auction all the assets, including the fixtures of the establishment which ceased operating at the end of last month.

Included will be the contents of 20 furnished luxury rooms, including king-size beds, cotton linen, dressing tables, leather chairs, mirrors, Ottoman loungers, TV sets, curtains, bar fridges, and dining chairs. Also on offer will be fixtures such as air-conditioners, door frames, light fittings, safes, and the complete contents of the luxury bathrooms including baths, toilets, frameless showers, taps, basins and towel rails.

Also catalogued for disposal is Urban Chic’s upmarket restaurant’s contents including tables, chairs, all catering equipment from the kitchen, and fixtures such as granite bar counters, a cold room, and large extractor canopy.

Bidway is staging a “seated auction” on Thursday with the assets depicted in catalogues, so viewing day on Wednesday from 9am to 4pm will provide an opportunity for prospective buyers to physically inspect all the assets.
