Developed by Linear Developments and marketed by Dogon Group Properties, the Parry Road Development is situated in Parry Road, Claremont and will feature five luxurious 3-bedroom homes, ranging in size from 178m² to 268m².

The original Victorian house in Parry Road will form the centrepiece of the pet-friendly development, and set the design theme for the rest of the houses, with four new double-storey homes sympathetically built on the property, says Alexa Horne, managing director of Dogon Group Properties.

Built in 1890, the 186m² Victorian house is thought to be the original farm house of the Palmyra farm, and is classified as a Grade 3A heritage building. It will be restored and boast all its original features such as working fireplaces, wooden floors, high ceilings, stone walls and a wrap-around veranda.

“This grand old lady will also receive all the contemporary touches,” Horne says.

The four new homes will offer luxury, contemporary finishes, high ceilings with exposed beams, wooden floors, fireplaces, stone-coloured walls, shutters, pergolas and verandas.

There will be state-of-the-art security, secure off-road parking, garages, solar panels, luxury kitchens with Smeg appliances and bathrooms with Hansgrohe sanitary-ware.

Prices for the new builds range from R4.495 million to R5.5m. The Victorian house is priced at R5.95m. Prices include VAT and no transfer duty is payable. Completion is expected in September 2020.
