The double-volume factory in a prominent location in Wellington has partitioned production areas and two loading bays with high clearance, as well as cold rooms. The total roofed area is about 3200m² on a plot of nearly 5000m² and the property has easy access to the N1 which links it to Cape Town about 45 minutes’ drive away.

Among the other non-residential lots for the BidX1 auction is a historical commercial building in Murraysburg, about 80km from Graaff-Reinet, in the heart of the Karoo. Two unusual features of The Bank Shoppe at 10 Kerk Street on Church Square - which started life as the Barclays Bank/FNB premises - are two large walk-in safes.

BidX1 says the safes could now be applied as a design element in a trendy store, or the property, on a plot of 600m², could be converted into a residence.

Also on offer at the auction will be:

* A three-level family home in Vermont, bordering a green belt area just 10 minutes’ drive from Hermanus, with spectacular views of Walker Bay.

* Renovated home in Tre Donne equestrian country estate in Somerset West in the Cape Winelands.

* Spacious plot in the exclusive Val de Vie Estate between Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands.

* In Vredehoek in Cape Town’s City Bowl, a 163m² top-floor apartment in a small block of only three units.
