AMAZULU FC co-coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi did not play his cards close to his chest regarding the matter of who will be manning the sticks between his two senior internationals, Bafana Bafana’s Veli Mothwa and The Black Stars’ Richard Ofori, when they visit Marumo Gallants for the Nedbank Cup clash.
Gallants will host Usuthu at the Dr Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off).
Mothwa last played on January 23 when AmaZulu were dismantled 5-0 by Stellenbosch at Umlazi in the Betway Premiership match.
On the other side, Ofori has been the trusted man playing the last four games. He took over with their 5-1 win over Mighty Eagles in the Nedbank Cup last 32.

He then assisted the side to take seven points from a possible nine in the Betway Premiership.
And so said Vilakazi:
“We are happy with the competition they are giving to each other but obviously sometimes you’ll ask yourself ‘why fix it if it's not broken?’.
“And that might make us go with Ofori even though Veli is challenging, he is coming very strongly.
“He has recovered from the five goals he conceded against Stellies. But I think we will go for Ofori just to get that consistency that I was talking about.”
Consistency in winning is the main gameplan for AmaZulu as they meet Gallants for a second time in two weeks.
“It is not going to be an easy one. It is different playing a team in the first and then the second round because there are games in between,’ said Vilakazi.
“But if you are playing a team this week and then again next week, it is never easy, so we will have to dig deep as a team.
“We will plan and watch some videos and stuff and come up with a strategy that should work for us. We are definitely going to have to come up with something they are not expecting.”
