Dikwena tsa Meetse launched themselves in the PSL in fine style - winning the Carling Knockout competition earlier this season with a come-from-behind 2-1 win against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Free State Stadium.
Since then, things took a turn for the worse, with Clinton Larsen leaving the side, and results begun to dry up.
Everything was pointing in the direction of the side making an immediate return back to the NFD Motsepe Foundation Championship, as they spent a large part of the first half of the season rooted at the foot of the log.
A large part of their difficulties was due to the lack of clean sheets and also the failure to build any momentum in either of their home or away matches.
The Limpopo side played most of their first-half season fixtures at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
However, since shifting to a new venue, they’ve enjoyed a strong home run—winning five consecutive matches at the Seshego Stadium following a 4-1 defeat to Chippa United in February.
Owen da Gama and his troops have hit form at the right time of the season and despite not being out of the relegation woods yet, their recent results have given them a lot of momentum to end the season on a strong foot.

Galaxy have found their stride under new mentor Adnan Beganovic, who took the reins from fellow Bosnian Sead Ramovic earlier this season. Since overcoming a sluggish start to their campaign, the team has gathered momentum and now looks well on course to match last season’s sixth-place finish.
They come up against a Magesi side that comes into the clash boasting a solid run of form, having won four of their last five fixtures.
Just as notable is their newfound defensive steel, with the side yet to concede a goal in their last five matches at Seshego—an impressive transformation that has turned their home ground into one of the toughest places to visit.
Whichever way the wind blows, the ripple effect will be felt on both ends of the table.
