Two men were killed and another was seriously injured on Sunday, December 25, 2011 when a car collided with a truck on the N5 in the Free State, paramedics said.
Paramedics found two bodies inside the wreckage, while an injured man lay next to it around 6am near Kestell, Netcare 911 spokesman Jeff Wicks said.
“It appeared one of the vehicles veered off its lane and collided head-on with the other,” he said.
Both vehicles skidded to a halt near the initial point of impact.
The injured man was stabilised on the scene and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The truck driver was not hurt. - Sapa
