Bloemfontein -
Two women and a child were killed when their shack caught fire in Phomolong, near Hennenman, Free State police said on Monday.
Sergeant Mamello Mokhuoane said the women, aged 45 and 21, and a three-year-old boy died on Sunday after an electric fault on a two-plate stove sparked the fire.
Neighbours tried to break down the door but were not successful. When firefighters arrived on the scene, the three had already died. - Sapa
