A man was killed when he was hit by a car on the N1 near Colesburg in the Free State on Saturday, paramedics said.
The man had been crossing the busy highway when he was struck and thrown forward by the car which then drove over him, said Netcare 911 spokesman Jeffrey Wicks.
Paramedics arrived but found the man had died as a result of his injuries, said Wicks. - Sapa
