A man has been arrested for raping a 13-year-old girl in Tsolo, 40km north of Mthatha, Eastern Cape police said on Tuesday.
Lieutenant-Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela said the man, 22, was arrested around 10pm on Monday.
He reportedly raped the girl in her home and was unknown to the victim. Police were notified after the girl was found with the door to her home left open.
Fatyela said the man was expected to appear in the Tsolo Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. – Sapa
