A man was killed and two others were injured on Wednesday when their truck overturned along the M1 freeway at the N1 split to Bloemfontein, paramedics said.
“We don't know what caused the truck with its trailer to overturn, but the fully laden goods truck lay in the road on its left side,” ER24 spokeswoman Vanessa Jackson said.
“The one occupant had suffered extensive injuries and died at the scene. He was found lying in the road, while the other two occupants had made their way to the side of the road.”
The two men were taken to a nearby hospital.
