One person was shot dead and another was wounded during a robbery at a food market in Bloemspruit on Thursday, Free State police said.
Captain Rulene Kuhn said three men entered a 24-hour food market at 1am.
“They asked the employees where the owner of the market was and he was not there.”
Kuhn said a worker was shot in the eye and he died at the scene. Another employee was shot in both legs and was in a stable condition in a local hospital.
The robbers took cash and fled, Kuhn said..
