Johannesburg - The National Hospital in Bloemfontein is without water after a pipe burst on Friday, the Free State health department said.

“The Mangaung metro is attending to this emergency and it is hoped that the situation will be brought under control soon,” said spokesman Mondli Mvambi.

The municipality had provided a tanker to supply water for general use and cleaning the hospital.

“The department of health has purchased drinking water for the patients,” Mvambi said.
