Phuthaditjhaba - A 46-year-old man accused of the murder of his brother-in-law appeared in the Phuthaditjhaba Magistrate's Court on Friday, Free State police said.

Sergeant Mmako Mophiring said he would appear in court again on Monday.

He allegedly stabbed his 33-year-old brother-in-law twice in the back during an argument with his in-laws on Tuesday.

Mophiring said in another case a man aged 58, accused of shooting dead his 36-year-old son, also appeared in the same court. His case was also postponed to Monday.

The father allegedly shot dead his son after they had an argument on Wednesday at their home in Chris Hani Park.

“They were in court, but (as) there was an administration issue outstanding, they will be in court on Monday,” said Mophiring. - Sapa
