A woman was killed in a crash involving an ambulance and a car in Welkom in the Free State, paramedics said on Tuesday.
Netcare 911 spokesman Jeffrey Wicks said paramedics found the woman trapped in her vehicle after the accident in Koppie Alleen Road.
The vehicle had spun out of control and hit a lamppost.
The driver of the ambulance was not injured. - Sapa
